From Vero Beach 32963:

"Mary Jayne Kelly, Executive Director of the Cultural Council and I caught up for a while with Italian artist  Ivo David in front of his colorful oil painting, Farmers Market - Vero Beach.  David, whose work was chosen last year to represent the Hibiscus Festival enthused, “My art is an expression of color, of life, of things that make us feel comfortable.  I’ve been an artist all my life.  I live art, I breathe art, and my daddy and grandfather were artists.”

The Divine Comedy

"In my works the sacred really enjoys ample space. The Bible offers numerous subjects, and I could not resist their appeal, especially those of the Gospel. Therefore, I painted The Good Samaritan, The Crucifixion, The Deposition from the Cross, The Pious Women, The Cireneus. The religious subjects form the soul of my art. I concentrated my attention on The Divine Comedy, and in particular, on the main religious characters present in Dante's masterpiece."
—Ivo David
